About Quantum Oasis
We bridge the gap between advanced computing infrastructure and scientific discovery, providing researchers with the tools they need to push the boundaries of knowledge.
Our Mission
Our History
Quantum Oasis was established in 2021 by a team of former academic researchers and HPC specialists who recognized a critical gap in the research infrastructure landscape: affordable access to high-performance computing resources specifically designed for academic workloads.
Having experienced firsthand the challenges of securing computational resources for research projects, our founders set out to create a service tailored to the unique needs of scientific computing – one that would combine technical excellence with an understanding of academic workflows and funding structures.
Starting with a modest cluster in Riga, we quickly expanded our capacity as demand grew. Today, we operate one of the most advanced research computing facilities in the Baltic region, serving universities and research institutions across Northern Europe.

Environmental Responsibility
At Quantum Oasis, environmental responsibility is not an afterthought – it's a core principle that guides all aspects of our operations. We believe that advancing scientific research should not come at the expense of our planet's health.
Our data centers are designed from the ground up with sustainability in mind, featuring advanced cooling systems that minimize water usage and maximize energy efficiency. Through careful optimization of our infrastructure, we've achieved a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratio of 1.15 – significantly better than the industry average.
We source 100% of our electricity from renewable sources, primarily wind and hydroelectric power from Latvia's robust renewable energy infrastructure. Any carbon emissions we can't eliminate directly are offset through verified carbon capture projects.
By demonstrating that high-performance computing can be both powerful and sustainable, we hope to inspire a shift toward greener practices throughout the research computing ecosystem.
Research Impact
Climate Modeling
Our GPU clusters have enabled researchers to run high-resolution climate simulations at unprecedented scale, contributing to more accurate climate change projections and mitigation strategies.
Drug Discovery
Pharmaceutical researchers have utilized our computing resources to accelerate the screening of potential drug compounds, significantly reducing the time required to identify promising candidates for clinical trials.
AI Language Models
Computer science departments have leveraged our infrastructure to train specialized language models for low-resource languages, helping to preserve linguistic diversity and expand NLP capabilities.
